Fountainbridge Loop - 4.2km - 31min 32sec

Stretch split - 7min 24sec

Slow again today but main issue was how sore the soles of my feet were. It's definitely becoming a problem. I'm not out of breath, my legs don't hurt etc. It's all just my feet that's the issue. Had a look at the soles of my shoes and they are looking pretty worn. Perhaps I should think about new ones. Also really need to start going up my distances soon.

Fountainbridge Loop - 4.2km - 31min 52sec

Stretch Split - 7min 24sec

So this started off pretty good. Thought I was on for a record time. However feet started hurting again - a bit later than usual - but by the time I was at the cinema they were really sore. Have dropped 8lb in the previous 2 weeks so surprised they are still hurting. Will continue to lose weight and if they continue to hurt I'll need to get new shoes. Booo.

Ran back from Karen's - 4.5km - 31min 38sec

Was round at a friends house tonight and since I hadn't run for a while I thought I should take my running stuff and run home. Unfortunately, it was raining on the way home and I was carrying a back pack so it was a bit tough. However, time was ok and I'm glad I did it.

Park run again on Saturday...

Fountainbridge Loop - 4.2km - untimed

This was awful today. I'm glad it wasn't timed as it would have been slow as anything. My feet were agony the whole way round and my left shin started hurting. It's all probably due to the fact that I'm the heaviest I can remember. Need to do something about this... and soon.

Fountainbridge Loop - 4.2km - 30min 11sec

Stretch split - 7min 19sec

So this run was A LOT faster than the last couple of times I've done it. Don't really know why although I did get off to a faster start than normal. Feet weren't as sore although I was feeling a bit spent by the time I reached the cinema. However, I'm pretty pleased that things seem to be improving.

Edinburgh results for event #61. Your time was 37:26

So did my first Park Run. Although the stats say I came last I know I out sprinted a girl at the end of the race so I guess she wasn't registered! Oh well, this is what the email said...

Congratulations on completing your 1st parkrun and your 1st at Edinburgh today. You finished in 183rd place and were the 110th gent out of a field of 183 parkrunners and you came 8th in your age category SM35-39.

Think I can do better next weekend?
